Education

• Master’s degree in accounting, Finance with four years Bachelor or relevant discipline.
• Knowledge of the local context in the Rohingya community.
• Sensitivity to cultural and diversity issues.
• At least 3 years’ work experience in a relevant role in the development sector.
• Proficiency in financial software applications.

Additional Requirements:

• Age at most 50 years
• Support audits (Internal, external), coordinate with FAM, Program Manager and HO to compile documents required by the auditors.
• Coordinate with auditors if required.
• Capacity building for other team members to continuously improve standards.
• Perform internal finance compliance reviews (as per policy).
• Monitor financial systems in programme and field offices according to policy and donor rules.
• Report any irregularities in finance to the relevant team.
• Ensure compliance with local law and tax obligations.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure taxes related to staff salaries are paid on time.
• Work with UNFPA to identify financial risks and implement response plans.

Responsibilities & Context

• Ensure financial viability of emergency intervention and manage resources.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Supervise financial functions like accounting, cash management, banking, payroll, receivables/payables.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial summaries, reports, and assessments.
• Maintain banking relations and ensure smooth cash flow.
• Monitor finance functions and support staff in finance system tools.
• Prepare donor financial reports for review.
• Budgeting and financial control of operational costs.
• Implement financial control tools.
• Administrative support including procurement and compliance with office policies.
• Safeguarding and ensuring protection standards (PSEA) in financial operations.
