Responsibilities & Context
BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.
In order to successfully implement the Play to Learn 2.0 Project’s: Advancing Scalable Solutions to Transform the Lives of Children on the Move, Case Management (CM) activities in the field of HCMP, the Case Worker (ECD) is responsible for identifying vulnerable children and providing quality case management services to them in the Rohingya camps.
• Through home-to-home visit identify and register vulnerable children who are abused, neglected, exploited or at risk to child marriage, trafficking, etc.
• Ensure each child is able to access necessary services (medical, nutrition, mental, legal, etc.) via the referral pathway.
• Conduct family tracing to reunite separated children.
• Report to Protection focal person trends and risks and recommend mitigation steps.
• Identify issues with referral pathways and work with the ECD staff and local authorities.
• Work closely with community mobilisers and strengthen referral systems.
• Submit weekly case management reports and maintain updated information.
• Coordinate with other agencies offering case management services.
• Ensure child protection initiatives align with BRAC’s policies. �
Safeguarding
• Ensure safety of participants, staff, community members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).
• Act as a source of support and guidance on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse safeguarding standards and reporting procedures.
• Encourage others to follow safeguarding protocols. �
