Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (Initial duty station for first six (6) months will be Cox`s bazar, the duty station (Cox`s) can be extended further based on the requirements)

The Humanitarian Programme Manager is a critical role managing different humanitarian programmes in Bangladesh. The post holder is responsible for coordinating and managing the programme this includes responding to slow and rapid on set emergencies, delivering resilience, disaster risk reduction and related climate adaptation programme. The post holder will be responsible to deliver and manage specific humanitarian programme strategies and activities to achieve the objectives stated in the program document in consistent with strategic direction of Christian Aid in Bangladesh thereby making a major contribution to the development and articulation of Christian Aid Bangladesh Office’s strategic humanitarian objective. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring best practice is developed and followed, that contingency planning is carried out and that humanitarian programmes are fully integrated into the work of regional and country teams and in line with Christian Aid corporate priorities.

We are looking for a candidate with a high level of commitment to Program Management in Humanitarian context. The incumbent is expected to possess a post graduate degree in social science from any reputed university S/he should have substantial and relevant experience in Programme Management in the field of humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction or disaster preparedness programming.

Annual Salary: BDT 32,00,000/- to BDT 40,00,000/- gross per annum + competitive benefits package.

Expatriate benefits: such as accommodation, school fees, annual flights home will be applicable to candidates who are not local or permanent resident (i.e. employees who work outside their country of residence) Expat Benefits will be entitled as per the expatriate benefits policy. Returning candidates will not be entitled to expatriate benefits i.e. candidates who are nationals of Bangladesh but have been working outside of their home country will not be entitled to expatriate benefits and will only be entitled to relocation benefits.
