Five Rohingyas were killed in firing by two groups at Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar early Friday.
The deceased are Anwar Hossain, 24, Mohammad Hamim, 16, residents of Camp-8 West, Nurul Amin, 24 of Camp-13 and Md Nazimullah of Camp-10. Another person has not been identified.
Mohammad Amir Jafar, commander (additional DIG) of APBn-8, said that three bodies were recovered after receiving reports of firing between two groups of Rohingya terrorist groups in the camp early in the morning.
Two other injured persons were taken to the hospital where they died. The operation to arrest those involved in the incident is continuing, he added.
