ActionAid Bangladesh is looking for suitable candidate for the following position:

Officer – Finance

Project : More Women Play a Greater Role and are Better Served by Humanitarian Response and Recovery Efforts’ Project (Phase II), funded by UN Women
Department : Finance
Location of posting : Cox’s Bazar
Types of contract : Fixed term Contract
Duration of Contract : Up to 15 September 2019
Number of position : 1
Salary and benefits : Monthly Gross Salary will be BDT. 66879 with other admissible benefits such as medical benefit, group life insurance etc.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to)

Prepare documents to process payment in compliance with AAB Policies, contractual obligation, Country Law etc. and by ensuring Account Code and Analysis Code;
Record all income and expenditure in the SUN Accounting System;
Comply with country law on the subject of Tax, VAT deduction and work with AAB Finance Unit to deposit the same;
Financial Report preparation for Budget Holder and Head of Humanitarian, management of AAB, Donor, NGO Affairs Bureau and other stakeholders;
Prepare and Submit the relevant invoices for bills from externals and pay all bills in a timely manner
Prepare Financial statements of the Project and facilitate statutory and Donors’ Audit in coordination with AAB Finance.
Relationship

S/he will report to Deputy Manager- Finance.

Required Educational Qualification and Experiences Relationship

Education

Post-Graduation or equivalent degree in Finance or Accounting, Chartered Accountant partly completed is preferred.
Experience

At least 2 years relevant experience in national or International Development Organization.
Required Competencies

Advanced knowledge on statutory and Donors’ compliance issues, Tax, VAT law and NGO Affairs Bureau requirements and procedures.
Excellent proficiency in English and Bangla is required for the position, reading, writing and speaking.
Accounting software knowledge is required, experience on SUN and Vision software is preferred.
